This week on Self-Funded with Spencer, I asked Kevin Chambers a simple question: What role does government have in healthcare?
Okay, not a simple question, but Kevin answered it pretty easily, and correctly, in my opinion: our government should be involved in making sure healthcare companies are transparent, and regulating the industry when absolutely needed, like when patients are being taken advantage of.
Of course, as the government gets more involved in this industry, it naturally brings more bureaucracy and that's obviously not great. There's definitely a balance to be found, and one that will be discussed more openly as more and more exploitative healthcare practices are being brought into the light.
